Manama, Mar. 30 (BNA): Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) president Shaikh Abdullah bin Essa Al Khalifa affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain's hosting Bahrain GP for Formula 1 at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) the home of motorsport in an grand motorsport event hosted by Bahrain for the first time in 2004 which has placed Bahrain on the map of motorsports to become the international hub of this important sport. He said Bahrain has ever since been admired throughout the world by spectators and fans who attended or watched the Grand Prix motor race. The international sport event is a main contributory and one of the pillars of its national economy. The event is being attended by world celebrities in the realm of culture, economy, science, arts, sports and promotes Bahrain's pioneering experience of development as a vivid example for the world to come to closely see its atmospheres of openness, tolerance and co-existence. He expressed his delight to visit the BIC and watch this grand sports event which is considered the zenith of motorsports as Bahrain adorns once again in the attire of Formula 1 to celebrate the thrill, joy and yearning during the grand event which will be launched on Friday which will be watched by more than 500 million spectators worldwide under dazzling floodlights in the second round in the new season of the international championship.
