NIHR President receives Bahraini Ambassador to Germany

Manama, March 31 (BNA): President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul received Bahraini Ambassador to Germany Ibrahim Mahmoud. He lauded his efforts in boosting relations between Bahrain and Germany and disclosing the honourable image of development in the kingdom. He also briefed the ambassador on NIHR role and mechanisms in protecting human rights. On his part, the Bahraini ambassador lauded the efforts of NIHR in promoting human rights and raising awareness of their importance in boosting the principles of justice and equality in Bahrain. Both sides also discussed ways of bolstering cooperation between Bahrain embassy in Germany and NIHR mainly in the field of human rights. The meeting was attended by NIHR Vice President Abdullah Ahmed Al Derazi and President of the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee Maria Khouri.
