Bahrain's education services lauded

Manama, Mar. 31 (BNA): On the sidelines of their visit to the kingdom to confer the "Flame of Peace" Award on His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Association for the Furtherance of Peace President Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete and Vice-President Archduke Sandor von Habsburg today paid a visit to the Ministry of Education.
Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi gave a presentation in which he highlighted the main education services provided in the kingdom, and the development projects currently implemented by the Ministry of Education to upgrade the quality of education and improve the achievements of students, including those with special needs and talented ones.
Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete and Archduke Sandor von Habsburg, and the Education Minister then paid a field visit to Al-Mustaqbal Primary Girls' School, where they were informed about the education services delivered to students. They were also briefed about the use of ICT in the teaching and learning process.
They also visited a class for students with autism, and were informed about the services provided for such students, as well as about the ministry's experience in integrating students with special needs in normal classes.
Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete and Archduke Sandor von Habsburg recorded a message in the school's log book in which they expressed admiration for the advanced level of the education services provided for the students.
Following the visit, Her Imperial Highness Archduchess Herta Margarete asserted the excellent level of Bahraini schools, highlighting the importance of education in promoting the concepts of freedom and peace, and this is what Bahrain has achieved, she said.
Archduke Sandor von Habsburg said he was impressed by the advanced level of education in Bahrain, especially regarding the use of technology, the Internet and smart boards in classrooms.
He also lauded the support provided to students with special needs, expressing hope that other countries of the world provide education services that are similar to those in Bahrain.
