FLOOD CAUSES 8-HOUR TRAFFIC JAM IN SEDAU, W KALIMANTAN

Singkawang, Indonesia, Jan. 12 (ANTARA) - Hundreds of vehicles have been stuck in a traffic snarl-up in in Sedau, South Singkawang, West Kalimantan Province, since Sunday (Jan. 11) as the Pontianak-Singkawang state road was flooded.

The floodwaters reached a height of up to 1.2 meters, according to Chief Brigadier Adi of the Sedau Police office, here on Monday.

The flood trapped the private cars, public buses, motorcycles and trucks in a jam for more than eight hours.
