'Private sector is a basic partner in enhancing development'

Manama, Apr. 3 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Slaman Al Khalifa has affirmed the crucial role played by business families in supporting the government's efforts to revitalise the national economy, stressing the importance of preserving such business entities in order to consolidate that role. The private sector is a basic partner in enhancing the comprehensive development march currently witnessed by the kingdom in all fields, reiterating the government's keenness to remove all obstacles facing the sector through putting in place a suitable business environment in which investments can flourish within a framework of competitiveness and economic freedom. HRH Premier made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, senior officials, traders, businessmen and citizens. HRH Premier asserted that the development efforts are going ahead in all regions as planned, stressing that the ultimate goal of those efforts is to fulfill the citizens' aspirations for a decent and prosperous life. The Prime Minister then praised the role played by Bahraini youth in bringing about achievements in various fields, including the trade and economic one, affirming the government's keenness on caring for youth creators in various fields through providing them with the requirements of continuous success. The government's support to youth is in line with its belief in their role in making the nation's present and future, he said, voicing pride in the efforts exerted by Bahraini youth for the sake of enhancing the nation's development and prosperity.
