Bahrain-Tunisia business relations discussed

Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): The first vice-Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Khalid Alzayani, alongside board member Mr. Adel Al A’ali and CEO Engr. Nabeel Al Mahmood received the Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation of Tunisia Yasin Ebrahim with his accompanying delegation in the presence of the Tunisian ambassador to Bahrain Mr. Mohammed bin Yousif in Bait Al Tijjar yesterday.
The meeting discussed the business relations between the Kingdom and Tunisia, and discussed a number of proposals that aim to augment the volume of trade between the two brotherly countries, including opening a direct naval route to streamline trade, optimizing the use of the FTA agreement between Bahrain and the U.S.A, intensifying the exchange of business delegations, holding joint business activities, and empowering the joint business council.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ebrahim extended an invitation to the Bahraini business community to attend and take part in the forthcoming business symposium to be held in November 2016 in Tunisia on the investment opportunities in Tunisia.
