Business ties with Tunisia discussed

Manama, Apr. 6 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s first vice-chairman Khalid Alzayani received the Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation, Yasin Ebrahim, and his accompanying delegation in the presence of the Tunisian ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed bin Yousef. The meeting discussed the business ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Tunisian Republic and a number of proposals that aim to augment the volume of trade between both countries including opening a direct naval route to streamline trade, optimizing the use of the FTA agreement between Bahrain and the U.S.A, intensifying the exchange of business delegations, holding joint business activities, and empowering the joint business council. Concluding the meeting, the ambassador extended an invitation to the Bahraini business community to attend and take part in the forthcoming business symposium to be held in November 2016 in Tunisia on the investment opportunities in Tunisia.
