BPK REMINDS PRESIDENT OF STATE FINANCES LAW IMPLEMENTATION
Jakarta, Jan 12 (ANTARA) - The Supreme Audit Board (BPK) sent a letter to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Speaker of the House of Representatives on the fact that some stipulations in the State Finances Law have not been implemented.
"With regard to the result of an investigation of regional administation and central government financial management, BPK believed that the relevant government authorities lacked serious efforts to implement some stipulations in the State Finances Law in 2003 and 2004," BPK Chairman Anwar Nasution said here Monday on the sidelines of an observance of BPK's 62nd anniversary.
He said neither the central government nor the regional administrations have established institutions to implement many parts of the state finances law.
"The institutions not only involved officials including governors, regents, and mayors, but project leaders and treasurers as well," he said.
Besides some laws and regulations were still contradictory with one another, instead of mutually supporting.
