Crown Prince: Education, training vital to guarantee citizens' opportunities

Manama, Apr. 7 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa along with Dr. Martyn Forrest, the former Executive Director of the National Project for Education and Training Development, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, Dr. Forrest presented His Royal Highness with a report, commissioned by the Supreme Council for Education and Training, to review the progress of education and training in the Kingdom of Bahrain over the past decade. The Crown Prince highlighted the importance of continuing to develop Bahrain’s education and training sector as a key pillar to the Kingdom’s sustainable development programme. The Crown Prince also highlighted that education and training are vital components to equip citizens with adequate skills that guarantee opportunity. The newly-appointed Executive Director of the National Project for Education and Training Development, Dr. Roy Blatchford, also attended the meeting.
