HRH Premier praises humanitarian initiatives

Manama, Apr. 10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Good Word Society's Honorary President, Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, and Board of Directors Chairman, Hassan Bu Hazza. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa presented HRH the Prime Minister with the first publication of the Good Word Society. The publication highlighted the society's activities that promote voluntary work, including the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa's Award for Voluntary Work and its role in boosting voluntary work locally, and at the GCC and Arab levels. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed the importance of the humanitarian initiatives launched by Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, which, he said, highlighted the milestone models in Arab societies which delicate themselves to humanitarian and voluntary work. HRH Premier lauded the importance of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa's Award for Voluntary Work as an initiative that projects the bright image of GCC and Arab societies while cooperating and competing to serve others, reiterating the government's support for such humanitarian initiatives aimed at instilling noble humanitarian values in Arab societies and motivating Arab peoples to exert more efforts in this regard. Bahrain youth are always at the forefront regarding voluntary work which is based on the Islamic values and principles, urging more similar initiatives that motivate individuals to play an effective role in serving their countries and Nation. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his constant support to voluntary work in the kingdom, which, he said, has motivated those in charge of voluntary work to give their initiatives GCC and Arab dimensions. He affirmed that HRH Premier has always backed youth initiatives that consolidate the values of solidarity among members of society and established it as a culture that encourages youth to hone their potentials in serving their religion, nation and societies.
