HRH Premier praises Bahrain's business environment

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that the business environment in the kingdom is by nature flexible and capable of overcoming economic challenges through its focus on opportunities and alternatives that pave the way for promising sectors to flourish for the sake of achieving sustainable growth for the national economy. While receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) Dr. Ahmed Khalil Al-Mutawa, HRH Premier said that the echoes of the success of Bahrain's financial and banking sector at the level of positive fiscal date and its local, regional and international expansion consolidate the kingdom's status as an outstanding financial hub in the region. The financial sector is among the economic pillars that enjoy full support in order to be able to assume its role in stimulating the investment atmosphere and making it always ready to attract and encourage investments in various sectors that increase growth rates and generate job opportunities for the citizens, he said. HRH Premier pointed out that the strength of the financial and banking sector has helped the kingdom overcome many financial challenges and global crises as it is based on a modern and advanced system that paved the way for establishing a robust banking system. Dr. Ahmed Khalil Al-Mutawa expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant support to the financial and banking sector through his directives to put in place a suitable environment that allow the sector to work flexibly, in accordance with the best international practices. The strength of the financial and banking sector reflects the solidity and diversity of the Bahraini economy amid the government's policies to support all economic sectors in order to achieve more progress and prosperity.
