Bahrain leaders call for international anti-extremism cooperation

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, at the Gudaibiya Palace. The two leaders discussed the latest regional and international developments, stressing the importance of the meetings of Islamic countries' leaders in order to unify stances on ways to face the economic and security challenges in the region, particularly terrorism which, they said, have become a serious threat to humanity. HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince emphasised the need to step up cooperation among countries in order to address the issue of ideological and religious extremism which fuel terrorism, reiterating the kingdom's support to all international efforts aimed at achieving peace and security for peoples worldwide. Reviewing a number of regional and global events hosted by the kingdom recently, they highlighted the importance of such international meetings in crystalising policies that enhance the ability to deal with all security and economic developments.
