Bahrain Pearl Award initiative praised

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): President of the Child and Mother Care Society Shaikha Hind bin Salman Al Khalifa lauded the initiative of President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa in launching the Bahrain Pearl Award in homage to late Shaikha Lulua bint Mohammed Al Khalifa for her voluntary, charity and humanitarian contributions. In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Shaikha Hind affirmed that presenting the first edition of the award in 2018 to coincide with completion of the Pearl Route Project, which is included on the World Heritage List, and the 18th edition of the Book Fair is a recognition of the importance of charity and humanitarian work of Shaikha Lulua bint Mohammed Al Khalifa. She added that Shaikha Lulua set an example to emulate for three generations thanks to a combination of many factors including education, culture, farsightedness and personality.
