SCW, Arab League discuss cooperation

Manama, Apr 18 (BNA): Secretary General Hala Al-Ansari of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) today received Arab League Assistant Secretary General Dr. Haifa Abu-Ghazala. The meeting held on the sidelines of Dr. Abu-Ghazala' participation in a lecture on (Media role in the fight against terrorism) organized by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) to coincide with the 2016 Bahrain Spring of Culture Festival. Al-Ansari commended the Arab League supportive efforts towards women's issues, empowerment and integration of their needs to ensure equal opportunity. She noted the SCW's keenness to develop cooperation in the area of support and empowerment of Arab women. Dr. Abu-Ghazala hailed the SCW achievements made at the local and international levels, commending the efforts of the SCW President HRH Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa in the support and empowerment of Bahraini women in various fields.
