HRH Premier affirms BCCI's pivotal role

Manama, Apr. 19 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman AL Khalifa has praised the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s sense of responsibility and keenness to place public interests above all others in order to ensure the continue playing its pivotal role in business and economic fields. BCCI is the home that embraces traders and supports the interests of such a vital sector, he said, expressing strong confidence in BCCI's ability to protect its deep-rooted trade march against any faltering. While receiving BCCI Chairman Khalid Al-Moayyad, in the presence of a number of senior state officials at the Gudaibiya Palace today, HRH Premier praised the crucial role played by BCCI in the business and economic fields throughout its history, calling on the private sector to support the government policy to expand the network of economic and investment cooperation with various countr4ies and promote the kingdom's status as a perfect investment incubator. Tackling domestic issues, HRH the Prime Minister voiced pride in the cohesive Bahraini social fabric, stressing that, throughout history, it has set an outstanding example in making the various intellectual, religious and sectarian segments agree on a common goal through cohesion, unity and adoption of unified stances that achieve top national interests. "Amid the circumstances and conflicts that the region is going through as a result of policies aimed at fragmenting peoples, we feel proud when we see our citizens in the villages united with their compatriots in cities for the sake serving national interest and maintaining the security and stability of the homeland," he said. HRH the Prime Minister asserted that, in recognition of the citizens' tireless efforts and dedication, the government is keen on following up on the performance of ministries to ensure they deliver the best services and ensure the best living standards for Bahrainis. In this regard, HRH Premier highlighted the initiatives and policies adopted in order to ensure that scarcity of resources or economic challenges do not impede the government's policies to achieve more development and progress for the citizens. BCCI Chairman extended utmost thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant support to BCCI and its affiliates, which, he said, has enabled it to overcome all challenges.
