Preparations in full swing for Nasser 9

Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee asserted that the second edition of Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Sports Games and ninth Football Tournament (Nasser 9) is gaining good reputation among football and sports enthusiasts in the region as more participants are applying for the tournament each year. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa underlined that the championship comes to support youth and sports movements in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region. He pointed to the success achieved in the previous editions of the championship, adding that more individual sports will be included in this year’s edition to attract more youth and sports enthusiasts. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa noted that the eight teams that are participating in the football tournament Nasser 9 have been approved adding that more names would be announced later. Tawfiq Al Salehi, Head of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media and Information Centre and Mr. Hassan Ismail, Head of Nasser 9 Supreme Organisig Committee and Director of the Championship met with the teams that directly qualified to Nasser 9 from last year’s tournament and they are Gunners United, Victorious, Al Nawayef, Forever, Al Zilzal, Numas and Al Wehda. Al Salehi conveyed the greetings of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the participating teams and his wishes for their success in the ninth version of the championship. He added that the remaining teams that will be competing in Nasser 9 will be announced during the upcoming weeks.
