Bahrain pays homage to late veteran diplomat

Riyadh , Apr. 25 (BNA): Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa paid homage to late Prince Saud Al-Faisal, saluting his legacy and lifetime achievements. He was speaking as he addressed an international conference held under the theme "Prince of Nations", in tribute to the memory of the late veteran diplomat. The King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies is organising the event at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre in Riyadh, under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The Deputy Premier recalled his personal and official fraternal relations with late Prince Saud Al-Faisal, stressing their constant consultation, coordination and cooperation regarding all that interests Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest. He hailed his rich legacy and lifetime achievements over more than four decades marked by unforgettable courageous stances. He seized the occasion to recall his charismatic personality, hailing him as a prince, brother, wise leader and veteran diplomat who dedicated his life to serving his country and championing the just causes of his Arab and Islamic nations. The Deputy Premier lauded the contributions of the late Prince Saud Al-Faisal, citing particularly his staunch defence of Bahrain against the blatant Iranian designs and his crucial role in ending the territorial dispute between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar and the construction of the King Fahd Causeway. "The memory of late Prince Saud Al-Faisal will live forever in hearts through his tremendous achievements and brave stances", he said, extending heartfelt condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his bereaved family, brothers and the people of Saudi Arabia.
