Symmetrical visions for promoting cooperation, peace emphasised

Manama, Apr 26 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Rumaihi today paid a visit to Dar Akhbar El Yom and Al-Tahrir Printing and Publishing House in Cairo and stressed the firm stances and the deep rooted solid ties bonding the Kingdom of Bahrain and Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Information Minister pointed the uniformity in political stances that seek achieving regional and international peace and stability, and call for concerted international efforts to counter extremism, violence and terrorism.
The minister commended the Egyptian journalism march, and its role in defending Arab and national causes, as well as Bahrain's Arab identity and sovereignty against the Iranian interference in its internal affairs.
The minister discussed with Chairmen of the Board of Directors and editors in chief ways to boost media cooperation in areas of training and researches, as well as the exchange of expertise. He also discussed coordinating efforts to defend Arab issues and addressing defamation campaigns launched by foreign media aimed at undermining security and stability of Arabic countries and hindering their democracy and development march.
He noted the royal reforms that have bolstered media openness and civilized intellectual dialogue, and communicating with Arab and foreign media to disseminate the values of tolerance, mutual respect and constructive dialogue among civilizations, cultures and religions.
He lauded the Al-Azhar's efforts in the dissemination of sciences, Islamic values, high moral and tolerance among religions and sects.
He highlighted keenness of the two countries to maintain security and stability and their participations in the Islamic Military Alliance to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
He expressed optimism about the Bahraini-Egyptian summit that will reinforce the historical bilateral relations and cooperation and open new horizons of trade exchange and tourism.
