King Abdulaziz Hospital project unveiled

Manama, Apr. 25 (BNA): Work on the King Abdulaziz Hospital is to start next year, it was announced. The new medical milestone will play a pioneering role in serving the health sector in Bahrain, said Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh. She unveiled the scheme to build the hospital in response to a query by MP Mohsen Al-Bakri who inquired about the ministry's plans to turn Bahrain into a destination for therapeutic tourism, as announced in the Government Action Plan. The minister said that she was updated about the engineering blueprints of the project during her meeting with the President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), which is spearheading the project. She stressed the role of the private sector, alongside the public sector in promoting the standing of Bahrain as a therapeutic tourism hub.
