HRH Premier praises Bahrain economy's successes

Manama, May 3 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today several Royal Family members and senior state officials, led by the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa. HRH Premier lauded the contributions of Bahrainis to the national action march, noting that they have set themselves as bright models of giving and dedication in serving the homeland and strengthening the pillars of its progress. In this regard, HRH the Prime Minister valued highly the good efforts exerted by Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid for the sake of the nation, describing him as a national icon and a major reference with regards to the Bahraini, Arab and Islamic history. HRH Premier reviewed with the audience a number of economic issues, voicing pride in the successes made by the Bahraini economy in spite of the challenges it is facing as a result of the global economic situation. He praised the good fiscal results achieved by the financial and banking institutions in the kingdom, which, he said, clearly reflects the success of the government in putting in place an economic environment that is capable of creating chances of growth under all circumstances. HRH the Prime Minister lauded the sound and successful management of the financial and banking institutions in Bahrain, which, he asserted, reflects the outstanding ability of Bahrainis and their good reputation that have become among the elements of attraction in this sector. Representatives of the financial and banking institutions in the kingdom extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his unwavering support to the sector, which enhanced its ability to adapt to various global economic development. They lauded the government's "successful" policies and programmes that led to the stability of Bahrain's economy amid unstable global economic and security situation.
