Two defendants jailed for human trafficking

Manama, May 3 (BNA): The High Criminal Court sentenced today two defendants to five years in jail and fined them BD 2000 each for human trafficking. The two convicts were accused of sexually exploiting a runaway expatriate girl and forcing her into prostitution. The girl was referred to a doctor and provided with the needed medical and psychological care at a special shelter. The court also ordered the deportation of the two convicts after serving their sentence.
