Deputy Premier chairs meeting on education, training development

Manama, May 4 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, today chaired a meeting focused on reviewing the key initiatives aimed at the implementation of the recommendations of the comprehensive review of the national project for the development of education and training over the past decade. Development of the vocational standards and national curricula, improving the quality of education and leadership in the schools according to the international standards were discussed. Deputy Premier pointed the importance of the development of elaborated future plans and setting timeframes and resources required for the implementation of the initiatives. He noted that the upcoming stage should emphasize on raising the students' educational and vocational level to contribute to the achievement of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 leading to attaining the comprehensive and sustainable development.
