Shaikh Nasser to chair BOC board meeting

Manama, May 8 (BNA): The seventh meeting of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) board of directors will be held on Monday at the committee premises in Seef. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of the BOC, will chair the meeting. The meeting agenda will include discussions on the committee’s General Secretariat reports, such as the Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work, besides the Third GCC Sport and Environment Conference held in Dubai between February 24 and 27, 2016. Other reports that will be presented at the meeting are relevant to the women’s training centre action plan and the medical clinics programmes. The board are also due to discuss the initiative of establishing a GCC Sports Dispute Centre in Bahrain as per decision of their Highnesses Presidents of National Olympic Committees in their 30th meeting held in Riyadh on April 4, 2016.
