NIHR receives UK delegation

Manama, May 10 (BNA): Deputy Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Abdulla Al-Durazi received here today a delegation from the UK Foreign Office, led by Fiona Salim, to evaluate the training programmes and sessions held by the British Embassy in the field of human rights. Al-Durazi briefed the delegation about the NIHR, and its role in promoting, consolidating and protecting human rights, affirming the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation to build capacities through conducting training programmes in all fields related to the NIHR's work fields. He also answered the delegation's queries, stressing that the NIHR's commitment to development in order to assume its human rights duties, under the leadership of its President Dr. Abdulaziz Abul. Fiona Salim expressed readiness to provide all kinds of support to the NIHR in order to help it achieve its goals, and strengthen cooperation with it in the fields of human rights consolidation and protection in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
