HRH Premier to patronise honouring ceremony for retirees

Manama, May 15 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa will patronise the first honouring ceremony of retirees from the public and private sectors on May 18 at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel. The event will be organised by the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO) in coordination with Al Hikma Pensioners Society and with the support of Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa who is in charge of SIO. All needed arrangements have been made for the celebration to be held for around 150 honourees, the society revealed, pointing out that a joint committee was set up between SIO and Al Hikma Pensioners Society to hold the celebration in tribute for the dedicated efforts made by the retirees in serving the nation. The society also clarified that the organising committee had approved certain criteria to choose the honourees including long service, old age and distinguished work. It added that it had also been decided to honour the pensioners from both the public and private sectors, paying tribute for HRH the Prime Minister for patronising the event.
