ALECSO condemns repeated attacks on schools in Bahrain

Tunis, May 20 (BNA): The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) denounced in a statement the ongoing terrorist attacks on schools in Bahrain in an attempt to undermine education, the main nerve of comprehensive development. This came during the 23rd session of ALECSO which was attended by Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi who was heading Bahrain's delegation to the conference that convened in Tunisia with the participation of the organisation's member states. Following a report on the terror acts targeting schools in Bahrain, ALECSO reiterated its condemnation of the violations aimed at depriving students of their inalienable right to education. It urged to keep the educational institutions away from political and ideological conflicts. It affirmed full support to ensuring stability and regular attendance at schools and educational establishments in the Arab countries.
