Action against U.S., S. Korea's Scheme for Germ and Biochemical Warfare Urged

Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- It was recently disclosed that the U.S. has pushed forward the experiment on Zika virus in its military base in Ryongsan of south Korea, touching off bitter anger among the local people. Timed to coincide with this, it was revealed that the U.S. Department of Defense chose U.S. military bases in Ryongsan of Seoul, Osan of Kyonggi Province and Kunsan of North Jolla Province and then Dock 8 of Pusan Port as the sites for the introduction of the Jupiter Plan aimed at increasing the capability of biochemical warfare. However, the U.S. and south Korean authorities are playing sleight of hand to cover up their crimes and escape public denunciation in and outside south Korea. A spokesman for the North Headquarters of the Nationwide Special Committee for Probing the Truth behind the GIs' crimes issued a statement on Saturday to denounce the U.S. thrice-cursed and wicked design in the name of the whole Korean nation. The statement recalled that last year the U.S. excused itself, asserting it "introduced germs only once" and it was a "simple mistake" though it conducted experiments on germ weapons after introducing active anthrax germs to its military bases in south Korea but it was disclosed that it not only introduced anthrax germs at least sixteen times but also introduced even pest and botulinus germs into south Korea long ago to prepare for a biochemical warfare. It is well known to the world that the U.S. imperialists set up various germ institutes in the U.S. military bases and other parts of south Korea after the Korean War and have since conducted experiments on germ weapons capable of spreading malignant infectious diseases with high mortality among south Koreans. The U.S. and the south Korean authorities should cogitate about the disastrous consequences to be entailed by their reckless, foolish and criminal scenario and cancel it at once. -0-
