Bahraini-Yemeni relations stressed

Manama, May 24 (BNA): Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim bin Fadl Al-Buainain today met Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr of the Republic of Yemen on the sidelines of the World Humanitarian Summit being held in Istanbul, Turkey. Al-Buainain conveyed greeting of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and wishes of restoring security and stability in Yemen. He stressed Bahrain's supportive stance towards legitimacy in Yemen, emphasizing commitment to GCC initiative, the implementation of UN Security Council resolution No 2216 and the outcomes of the Yemeni national dialog. He praised the Kuwaiti efforts in hosting the dialogue sessions between the conflicting Yemeni parties, wishing them success for the benefit of Yemen and its people. Yemeni Premier lauded Bahrain and other GCC countries' support for his country. Topics of joint interest were also discussed.
