HRH Premier receives US ambassador

Manama, May 30 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today the US Ambassador to Bahrain William Roebuck. He stressed the need to further boost bilateral relations and cooperation mainly in the economic, trade and investment fields, pointing out the importance of availing of joint agreements to serve common interests. HRH the Premier underlined Bahrain's keenness to further cement historic ties between the two friendly countries and bolster cooperation at all levels. He emphasised Bahrain's efforts to broaden the scope of cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries according to a policy based on promoting values of understanding and coordination. HRH the Prime Minister reviewed with the US ambassador regional and international developments, stressing the importance of strategic dialogues between countries and economic blocs to reach a common vision and urging collective efforts to tackle economic and security challenges. The US ambassador thanked HRH the Premier for his keenness on bolstering bilateral relations, stressing his country's interest in enhancing cooperation with Bahrain for the common interest of both countries and peoples.
