Deputy premier receives British minister

Manama, June 2 (BNA): Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received today the United Kingdom (UK)'s Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs, Tobias Ellwood, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the meetings of Bahrain-UK Joint Committee. During the meeting, His Highness welcomed the British minister and his accompanying delegation, citing the historic bilateral ties and the keenness of both sides on bolstering and developing these ties. They reviewed the progress of bilateral relations and areas of bilateral cooperation. They also explored latest and current regional and international developments. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Simon Martin , attended the meeting.
