Deputy premier receives British minister

Manama, June 2 (BNA): Deputy Premier, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received at Gudhaibiya Palace today the British Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Tobias Ellwood and his accompanying delegation in the Kingdom to take part in the meetings of the Bahraini-British Joint Committee. The Deputy Premier highlighted the deep-rooted historic relations between the two countries and the mutual keenness to further enhance them. The meeting also reviewed fields of joint cooperation in addition to regional and international developments. Present at the meeting were Bahrain's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and the British Ambassador to Bahrain Simon Martin.
