SCIA deputy president meets Russian Mufti

Manama, June 4 (BNA): Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa yesterday met in Moscow the Speaker of the Russian Muftis Shura Council and President of the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation Sheikh Rawi Ain Al-Deen. He reviewed with Sheikh Rawi Ain Al-Deen the outcomes of the meeting of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia and the Islamic World which was recently held in Kazan, the capital city of Tatarstan. The Speaker of the Russian Muftis Shura Council praised Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa’s speech during the opening of the meeting, as well as his meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. He also expressed delight at Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa’s choice as new group member. Shaikh Abdulrahman thanked Sheikh Rawi Ain Al-Deen for the warm welcome accorded to him and his accompanying delegation throughout their official visit to Russia, hailing the steadily-growing relations between Bahrain and Russia, in general, and between the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Russian Muftis Shura Council and the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, in particular. Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and his accompanying delegation returned to the kingdom yesterday after their official visit to Russia, where they participated in the meeting of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia and the Islamic World in the city of Kazan.
