Leadership congratulated

Manama: June 5 -- (BNA)-- The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister on the occasion of near advent of the holy month of Ramadan. The Coucils' Chairman, HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, chaired the Council's regular session this morning in the presence of the Deputy Chairman Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa. The council urged everyone to avail from the spiritual atmospheres of this blessed month in boosting familial bonds, charitable and philanthropic deeds and welfare. The meeting discussed several items in its agenda, including investment plans of the Sunni and Jaffariya endowments directorates. The council decided to refer the two directorates' plans to the relevant committee which will submit its report to the council in this regard. The council reviewed latest developments regarding the Quran Recitation Institute, the preparation of teachers, and the Institute's organisational structure. The council stressed the importance of unity among Muslims, upholding the firm bonds in the Islamic nation without discrimination or divisionism and preserving the security of nations and their stability emanating from the teachings of Islam. The council stressed the importance of safeguarding the community from any sectarian strife, and to keep religious platforms and places of worshipping away from what might tarnish their sanctity or which might swerve them from their noble goals. The council concluded its meeting by reviewing the incoming correspondence and taking the necessary action in regard thereof.
