Monday first day of Ramadan

Manama, June 5 (BNA): Bahrain has announced that Monday will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and the start and end of the month during which physically-able Muslims abstain from food and drink from sunrise until sunset are based on the sighting of the moon. Working hours in the public sector will be from 8 am until 2 pm.
