King visits Royal Guard Command

Manama, June 5 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, today visited the Royal Guard, in the presence of BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa.
He was welcomed on arrival by Royal Guard Commander Brigadier His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and Special Royal Guard Force Commander Major His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Addressing the ceremony, HH Shaikh Nasser greeted HM the King, on behalf of all BDF affiliates, on the advent of the Holy month of Ramadan. He hailed Bahraini heroes who returned from the battlefields and who will be honoured by HM the King in recognition of their sacrifice, bravery, spirit of belonging to the nation and loyalty to the King.
He paid tribute to the other Bahraini heroes who are deployed at the Southern borders of Saudi Arabia, in Yemen and in other fronts. He paid homage to the martyrs, who dedicated their lives to defending the nation, and prayed to rest their souls in eternal peace, wishing the wounded quick recovery.
HM the King bestowed medals on Royal Guard Special Force officers, non-commissioned officers and servicemen on returning safely after performing their duties in Yemen. The officers, non-commissioned officers and servicemen congratulated HM the King on the advent of the Holy month of Ramadan, wishing him health and happiness.
HM the King also greeted them on the advent of Ramadan, wishing many happy returns to all the Bahrain Defence Force, the people of Bahrain, the expatriate communities, the Arab and Islamic nations. He prayed to lay the souls of the fallen martyrs in eternal peace and guide Bahrain heroes who are performing their noble duties whether in Bahrain and abroad.
He hailed the Royal Guard brave affiliates who are performing their duties alongside the BDF servicemen as part of the Saudi-led Operation Restore Hope, lauding their relief aid efforts in Yemen. HM the King then headed to the Royal Guard Commander where was briefed on ongoing operations by HH Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
HM King Hamad, the Supreme Commander, contacted directly a number of Royal Guard affiliates who are deployed in Yemen, taking pride in their dedicated and strenuous efforts. He also exchanged with them Ramadan greetings.
