Electricity minister meets citizens

Manama, June 10 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza met a number of citizens to listen to their comments and suggestions regarding power and water supplies. Dr. Mirza said such comments and suggestions were always welcome, adding that anyone could come to his office at any time in this context. This, he said, was according to the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who had always emphasized the importance of an Open Doors Policy for all citizens. He said direct communication with the people and listening to their complaints were key to the Electricity and Water Authority’s (EWA)’s efforts to provide top class and quality services. Dr. Mirza said such a dialogue would also help improve services wherever needed. The citizens praised EWA's Open Doors Policy. The minister said such meetings were an on-going process and would be repeated periodically. He said anyone wishing to meet him could call his office on 17996777 to arrange a suitable date and time for the meeting. Executive Vice President of Distribution and Customer Services Adnan Fakhro and Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer Ahmad al-Amiri were present.
