Bahrain attends UN meeting on ending AIDS

New York, June 11 (BNA): Bahrain took part in the 2016 United Nations High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS, which was held on June 8-10 in New York, the US. The delegation included Health Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Hospital Affairs Dr. Walid Al-Manea and Bahrain Permanent Representative to the United Nations Jamal Al-Ruwae. The high-profile meeting at focusing the attention of the international community on a set of specific, time-bound targets and actions that must be achieved by 2020 if the world is to get on the Fast-Track and end the AIDS epidemic by 2030 within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.
