Princess Sabeeka's Women Empowerment Award launched

Manama, June 12 (BNA): The Princess Sabeeka Award for Empowerment of Women has been launched under the umbrella of UN Women. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed for this purpose on Sunday in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa wife of His Majesty the King and president of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW), along with Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa on Sunday, the Kingdom of Bahrain will contribute part of the cost not exceeding BD 200,000.
