Education minister receives British delegation

Manama, June 13 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Higher Education Council, received HH Shaikh Salman bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa accompanied with an academic delegation from the UK-based University of Salford. They discussed the project to establish a branch for the said university in Bahrain. The ministry encourages investment in the private higher education sector, in view of the vital role of this sector as a quality addition into the local economy, the minister said. The Higher Education Council (HEC) welcomes projects establishing new higher education institutions whenever they satisfied all the requirements and criteria in this regard to ensure that high quality educational services are being provided to schoolchildren, he added.
