Crown Prince hosts iftar banquet for senior BDF officers

Manama, June 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister this evening held an iftar banquet, which the Royal Guard Commander, His Highness Colonel Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended, at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF)Officers’ Club. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was received by the BDF Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, His Excellency Lieutenant General Yousif bin Ahmed Al Jalahma, the BDF’s Chief of Staff, His Excellency Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqer Al Noaimi, and a number of senior BDF officers. His Royal Highness praised the BDF’s role in safeguarding the Kingdom’s security and its determined efforts to preserve the Kingdom’s prosperity and development. In this regard, His Royal Highness noted that the BDF’s dedication to its mandate is appreciated by all, and that its commitment to its duties is evidenced by its collaboration with the Kingdom’s allies. His Royal Highness went on to highlight that the BDF’s agility andcombat readiness is underpinned by the support provided by His Majesty King Hamad. His Royal Highness noted that the BDF’s professionalism and capability was demonstrated during its recent participation in various military exercises performed alongside the Kingdom’s allies, which received widespread praise. His Royal Highness further highlighted that this is a cause for pride and honour amongst Bahrainis, and that it motivates the Kingdom to continue supporting and developing the BDF. On behalf of the BDF personnel, the BDF Commander-in-Chief extended his best wishes to His Royal Highness on the occasion of the start of the holy month of Ramadan, and expressed his hope for further prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain, its leadership and its people. His Royal Highness then extended his best wishes to the BDF personnel, and to the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, as well as to all Arab and Islamic nations.
