Crown Prince emphasises national unity and community cohesion

Manama, June 16 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister this evening visited the Majlis of His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, which was also visited by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister. His Royal Highness also visited the majlises of Shaikh Mustafa bin Abdullatif and Mohamed bin Abdulla Al Mannai.
During the majlis visits, His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s adherence to the spirit of tolerance and coexistence amongst all factions of its vibrant society. His Royal Highness further highlighted the importance of categorically rejecting all forms of destructive and extremist ideologies that undermine national unity and mentioned efforts to underpin the Kingdom’s development, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
His Royal Highness stressed that the Kingdom will continue to robustly uphold the rule of law in the face of any attempt to undermine it, in accordance with due processes. In this regard, His Royal Highness reaffirmed the important and collective duty of every citizen to maintain national unity in the wake of any attempts that seek to compromise national interests. In this regard, His Royal Highness recalled the peaceful values of Islam that enshrine community cohesion as a vital principle for all human societies.
The Crown Prince went on to note that the Kingdom’s gains are a direct result of the contributions of loyal Bahrainis who have united their efforts over the past decades. His Royal Highness underlined the importance of strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors to further build on efforts to diversify the economy, that will benefit future generations. His Royal Highness outlined that this thriving partnership’s successes must be maintained through adopting the principles of sustainability and fairness, which underpin current national strategies.
Speaking about the next phase of Bahrain’s development, His Royal Highness noted that the Bahraini citizen is the cornerstone of development and sits at the heart of the Kingdom’s wide-ranging programs and initiatives. His Royal Highness added that the leadership is committed to safeguarding the interests of citizens and achieving sustainable gains by facilitating high quality opportunities, which reinforce the resilience of the Kingdom’s main economic sectors.
During the visits, His Royal Highness also spoke about the importance of seizing opportunities through efficiently developing productivity and instilling innovation as part of the efforts that underpin the next phase of Bahrain's economic development. His Royal Highness confirmed that this phase will be supported by facilitating a growth-stimulating environment that promotes private sector-led growth and entrepreneurship in order to improve the living standards of citizens.
His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of further integrating the partnership between the public and private sectors through adopting the principle of sustainability in the development of various economic sectors. His Royal Highness further emphasized the importance of capitalising on key development projects and the Gulf Cooperation Council Development Fund, which are worth more than $32 billion, and will deliver substantial economic returns in the coming years.
His Royal Highness then went to extend his best wishes in the holy month of Ramadan to the majlis hosts and guests, and noted that Ramadan reflects the unity and solidarity that exist amongst Bahrain’s society, which are also part of the Kingdom’s customs and traditions.
The majlis hosts and guests expressed their gratitude for the Crown Prince’s visit, and highlighted the important role the Crown Prince plays in supporting and strengthening national unity in order to achieve further developments for the country and its citizens.
His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness, also accompanied the Crown Prince during his visits.
