BCCI's committee holds meeting

Manama, June 16 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s recently-formed restaurants & coffee-shops committee held its first meeting chaired by Ahmed Alsaloom. The meeting was also attended by the committee members along with representative from BCCI's Department of Legal Affairs & Arbitration, who briefed the committee about the committees’ framework and bylaws. During the meeting, the committee discussed its action plan and a number of issues including its aspiration to smoothen out hurdles on the path of restaurants and coffee shops and smoother official procedures, and intention to submit a proposal to the Ministry of Industry Commerce and Tourism regarding classification of restaurants and the prospect of local coffee-shops and restaurants franchising.
