Information Minister receives Moroccan ambassador

Manama, June 16 (BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi praised strong and growing fraternal relations between Bahrain and Morocco under both countries leaderships. He was speaking as he received today Moroccan Ambassador to Bahrain Ahmed Rashid Khatabi. He discussed with him ways of bolstering bilateral cooperation mainly in the media field, stressing the government’s keenness to activate agreements signed by both countries. The Information Minister lauded conformity of Morocco’s diplomatic stances with Bahrain and the GCC countries concerning security of the Arabian Gulf, fighting terrorism and extremism and denunciation of foreign interference in the internal affairs of the GCC and Arab countries. He pointed out that those unified stances were reflected in the recent GCC-Moroccan Summit in Riyadh and the Moroccan monarch’s visit to Manama in April, 2016. The Moroccan ambassador thanked the Information Minister for his keenness to promote bilateral media cooperation, commending Bahrain’s development at all levels thanks to the royal reform project.
