King receives Muharraq Ramadan well-wishers

Manama, June 19 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received this evening at Al-Sakhir Palace Ramadan well-wishers from the Governorate of Muharraq.
They expressed Ramadan greetings to HM the King on this occasion, praying to the Almighty to bless him with health and happiness and Bahrain and its loyal people with further progress and prosperity.
The well-wishers paid tribute to HM the King, hailing the royal care for the governorate of Muharraq and its people and reiterating their unwavering allegiance to the wise leadership.
HM the King welcomed the well-wishers, wishing Bahrain and its loyal people many happy returns.
He hailed Muharraq people for their sincere patriotic feelings, commending the role and sacrifices of the Muharraqis in building modern Bahrain, contributing to its progress and development and serving their nation in all fields.
HM the King lauded the role of Ramadan majales in fostering longstanding social values, which were passed down through the generations, saying that Bahrainis today follow into the steps of their fathers and forefathers.
"What brings Bahrainis together represents the cornerstone and key pillar of Bahrain’s development and progress", he said, citing solidarity, amity and tolerance as essential values binding citizens.
Addressing the well-wishers, HM the King stressed the importance of preserving Muharraq heritage vestiges, which are reminiscent of modern Bahrain’s first steps on the march of urban development and progress.
He paid homage to the fathers and forefathers, hailing their pioneering role as trailblazers in the early administrative and legal nation-building endeavour.
"The first Shura Council was set up in Muharraq in the era of late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa", he said, adding that the heritage-laden town would remain forever engraved in the national annals.
HM the King saluted Bahraini men and women, hailing their crucial contribution to Bahrain’s hard-won landmark achievements.
He pledged to pursue the march of development and progress unabated, adding that the reform and national modernization project would continue unabated. HM the King prayed to protect Bahrain and its people, wishing the Arab and Islamic nations many happy returns.
