Society dissolved for breaching law

Manama, June 19 (BNA): Minister of Labour and Social Development Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan has issued Edict 61/2016, dissolving the Quran Care Society. The Quran Care Society was dissolved for breaching the law, as stipulated in Article (50) of the Law on Associations, Social and Cultural Clubs, Special Committees Working in the Field of Youth and Sports, and Private Institutions, promulgated by Decree-Law 21/1989. The Quran Care Society’s members, officials and staff shall not continue their activities related to it. A liquidator was appointed to liquidate the Quran Care Society and distribute the assets within four months, in accordance with the provisions of the law, and the association’s by-law.
