Premier: Bahrain capable of safeguarding security, stability

Manama, June 20 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Speaker of the Representatives Council, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, MPs and senior state officials, in the presence of former Speaker, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani. Those present expressed the Legislative Branch’s support to all the measures taken by the government to rectify the track of political action and direct it towards serving the nation, and put an end to the attempts of some individuals and institutions to abuse the prevailing freedom and democracy to damage the kingdom’s interests and put its security and stability at risk. HRH the Prime Minister stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain will be more secure and more stable, adding that the necessary measures will be taken in order to maintain security nationwide to ensure an atmosphere of tranquility and re-assurance for the citizens and residents that motivates them for work and achievement. Thanks to the cohesion of its people, the Kingdom is capable of safeguarding its security and stability, and will not allow its will to remain dependent on those who take violence, terrorism and sabotage as an approach to undermine the country’s achievements in all fields, he said. "What the region is currently going through makes us more determined to spare the nation the scourge of what is going on in other countries. There is no compromise when it comes to the security of the homeland," HRH Premier explained. HRH Premier expressed satisfaction over the steady progress of cooperation between the Executive and Legislature out of the two sides’ shared desire to strengthen joint constructive cooperation to enhance the democratic march and fulfills the citizens’ aspirations for a more prosperous life. "We are partners in responsibility, and our ultimate goal is to serve the nation and its citizens. We appreciate your patriotic stances, and through partnership with you, we will confront whoever seeks to impede the national march," he said, addressing representatives of the Legislative Branch. The Prime Minister lauded the patriotic stances embodied by the people of Bahrain through their support to everything that protects the security and stability of their nation and maintains its unity and cohesion under all circumstances. "We are certain that we are capable of overcoming all challenges that seek to disrupt development efforts, based on our cohesion, national unity, and advanced and modern system of legislation and laws," he affirmed. HRH the Prime Minister lauded the stances voiced by columnist and journalists in support of the measures taken by the government, which, he stressed, embodies their patriotism.
