Commander-in-chief receives UK military official

Manama, June 21 (BNA): Commander in Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa received at the BDF General Command today the outgoing Chief of the Defence Staff of the British Armed Forces General Sir Nicholas Houghton and his accompanying delegation. Minister of Defence Affairs Lieutenant-General Yussef Al-Jalahma and BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi attended. The commander-in-chief expressed thanks and appreciation to the British army official for the efforts he had exerted throughout his tenure, and wished him every success in the tasks that would be assigned to him. They discussed regional and international issues of common concern. Acting Director the BDF General Command, Major General Hassan Mohammed Sa’ad, Inspector-General, Major-General Abdulla Hassan Al-Nuaimi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Youssef Ahmed Malallah and a number of senior BDF officers were also present.
