Bahrain’s openness, religious tolerance hailed

Manama, June.22 (BNA): Bahrain’s landmark development strides in the prosperous era of His Majesty the King were hailed.
Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) Secretary-General Betsy Mathieson hailed the atmosphere of openness and religious tolerance which prevail in Bahrain.
"The dedicated efforts of HM the King have won respect and appreciation", she said, highlighting the alarming challenges due to spreading extremism and terrorism.
She was speaking on the sidelines of a "Peace Prayer" which was organized this evening by the Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manama.
She extended thanks to the Undersecretary for International Affairs Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, hailing the ministry’s support to all expatriate communities and "This is Bahrain" roadshow.
"This evening all faiths, religious, sects and nationalities gather as one family in a Christian church during Ramadan to celebrate religious freedom and pray for peace", she said.
She paid tribute to the wise leadership for making such a gathering possible, hailing the efforts of HM the King to foster human rights, including freedom of religion and faith.
She paid tribute to HM the King for turning Bahrain into a role model for peaceful co-existence between all religions and sects, wishing the kingdom further progress and prosperity.
