Education Minister honours graduates from Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind

Manama, June 23 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi stressed the great care given by the Education Ministry to the visually-impaired and blind students as part of a project to integrate students with special needs in public schools and provide them with special education and facilities. He was speaking as he attended a ceremony held by the Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind to honour the graduates and top achievers in the academic year 2015-2016.
The Education Minister presented the graduates with certificates and commemorative gifts in the presence of their parents, pointing out that 179 students with special needs were integrated in the current academic year in 93 schools. He congratulated the graduates on their achievements, lauding the role of the Saudi-Bahraini Institute for the Blind in serving this category of students. He also pointed out that the ministry is currently providing them with advanced equipment to improve their educational acquisition.
