HRH CP: His Majesty’s commitment to sustainable development informs Bahrain’s path to prosperous future

Manama, June 23 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister this evening visited the majlis of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and majlis of Al Arayedh family. During the majlis visits, the Crown Prince highlighted that His Majesty’s programme, a key component of Bahrain’s sustainable diversification efforts, continues to inform every aspect of the Kingdom’s path of achieving prosperity for all its people. The Crown Prince also highlighted that the economic challenges the region currently faces as a result of the unprecedented drop in oil prices, demonstrate Bahrain’s Vision 2030 role in preserving the country’s economic resilience in the face of adverse global economic conditions. The Crown Prince went on to add that a key priority for the coming period is to transform the public sector’s role into a dynamic regulator, and that the principles of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, sustainability, competitiveness and fairness, are key pillars of the country’s next development phase, which will guarantee high quality opportunity and prosperity for all. The Crown Prince spoke of the private sector’s initiatives, which he said have made a significant contribution to promoting the principles of sustainability, competitiveness and fairness across a range of sectors. The Crown Prince also stressed that extensive collaboration between the public and private sectors will help accelerate economic growth, and went on to highlight that the recent enactment of wide-ranging laws, purposely designed to further enhance Bahrain’s economic environment and regulatory frameworks, directly supports the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen the private sector’s role in driving economic growth. The Crown Prince concluded by emphasising the importance of continuing to foster innovative opportunities in order to increase competitiveness in Bahrain’s thriving sectors and further improve citizens’ living standards. The majlis hosts and guests expressed their gratitude for the Crown Prince’s visit, and highlighted the Crown Prince’s commitment to advancing long-term diversification efforts to guarantee opportunities for all Bahrainis.
